Step 2 - Starting Your Business! 

Officially Share That You Are a Coach!

Ok, we are all set and ready to go... now, we have to share with people about what you are doing!

Putting yourself out there can be very scary at first, but now that you have identified a solid WHY for your journey, we can leverage the motivation it brings to share with others.

As you review the examples, pick one that sounds most like you and customize it and post it!
Invite others to join you in our current or upcoming challenge group! 
We will run the group for you while you help co-lead. In other words, you will be an apprentice/intern coach and share your daily workouts, comment on challengers to encourage them, etc., and we will set up the group, post ourselves, and take care of the administration of the group.
 

Once you share what you are doing as a coach, it is likely you will get questions about challenge groups, and some objections too. That's all normal!

Your Invite List:

You have announced you are officially coaching! (if you haven't yet - DO IT!) 
Now it is time to put pen to paper to create our INVITE LIST. 
 

Get out a notebook, excel sheet, google doc, etc. and begin to make a list by answering these questions:
 

Who do you know that:
 

  • Wants to lose weight?

  • Loves working out?

  • Hates their job?

  • Craves to be a stay at home mom?

  • Is looking for fulfillment or a major life change? 

  • Wants to take their fitness to the next level?

  • Wants to lose pregnancy weight?

  • Needs to cross train and balance out their body for the main activity they engage in (pole, aerial, running)

  • Is a fitness professional looking to diversity offerings and income?
     

Think of people from:
 

  • High school

  • College

  • Jobs, previous and current

  • Church

  • Clubs/ organizations

  • Homeowners associations

  • Family

  • Best friends

  • Teammates

  • Extended Family

 

DO:

  • Remember this invite could change someone’s life! (it did mine!) 

  • Make these PERSONAL to each person you invite. Open each invite with something personal to that individual's current life.

  • Make them sound like YOU. If you read it out loud, does it sound like something you'd say?

  • Find people who you think would be great at working this business.

  • End every convo with a question mark.

  • Follow up. Always.
     

DON’T:

  • Pre-judge anyone! 

  • Decide people will say "no" before you ever give them the chance to say "yes". ASK THEM to give them the option!

  • Spam people with ALL the info right out of the gate.

  • Let fear control your life and invites.

Start Inviting!

Ready to do some one-on-one inviting? Take out your invite list and start! Inviting in a post is part of the invitation process, but the majority of your success will come from personal inviting-reaching out privately on facebook, instagram, or email and engaging in one-on-one conversation!

 

Remember we are inviting to our virtual community and/or a challenge group.
A lot of people don’t know what a challenge group/virtual community is so it is important to explain exactly what it is. For all my challenge groups I highly suggest they invest in a CHALLENGE PACK. Not only are Challenge Packs the LEAST EXPENSIVE way for a customer to get started strong, but you also earn 2 SUCCESS CLUB points for each person you help, making it that much easier to hit your monthly goal of Success Club!



The most successful coaches spend the majority of their time connecting one-on-one.

Asking right away to join ya sounds salesy so get a convo going with people who you haven't talked to in a while. 
Or if you have been consistently posting to facebook or instagram about your own journey and how you want people to join in on the fun and/or already have existing conversations going then you may be ready to just send out the INVITE! 
 


Invite Example:
This is PERSONAL but people want to feel personally invited to the "party" aka to do BB workouts with ya in a challenge group! 

 "Hey ______ (name). Did you see my stories this week by chance?! I have this new group starting soon and I would just absolutely love love LOVE to have your energy in it and rocking this together!! (maybe here say one reason WHY you think it would be fun to have them in the group!) Would you at all be interested in learning a bit more?!

Personally Inviting vs. Just Posting an Invite:

I often find reaching out directly to people who keep viewing my stories or commenting on my posts works best. Here is a GREAT analogy: I post on social media - isn’t that enough? “They’ll come to me.” ((Pssst…..they probably won’t and here’s why). Imagine you drive by a house in your neighborhood - they spent the past month remodeling their backyard and are hosting a party so they put a big sign in their yard with exciting details and a big “You’re Invited!”
Are you going? I bet you’d be thinking (like me), I bet that’d be so great but clearly that invite isn’t for me - I’m sure their close friends and family will be there - I’ll be the odd girl out and probably won’t know anyone. I hope they have a great time but I’ll just stay home. Guess what though … you + most everyone else besides her mom had that same internal doubt/thought. So this time you drive by the house with the sign but when grabbing your mail as you pull into your driveway you see a bright envelope — it’s a PERSONAL INVITATION!!! “Wow! She wants ME there!” Do you see how this is critical - the personal message to them The sign was a breadcrumb and got her attention but the personal outreach let you know that THIS was for YOU TOO! Without the invites we’re teaching you this week, women will continue to see your posts and listen to the invites on stories and assume it’s not REALLY for her. Get out there, INVITE TO YOUR PARTY!! If ya don’t, your parents or siblings may be the only ones who show up.


 

Assignment for Inviting: Today, send out AT LEAST 5 invites to our upcoming  group. Now that you have your list of 100 you should be inviting daily to your challenge group (10 per day)! They Want More Info...Now What?!

Remember, you will be the most successful (and fulfilled) when you approach your business with a heart to serve others, listen, connect, and help people achieve the best version of themselves!

This is a great video! In this training, top coaches, Kim & Jamie Fitzpatrick share that “I’m interested” is the first step in the process. They are experts in relationship building.  Check out their training for tips on how to connect with people to learn their "pain points," help them see the value of what you have to offer, and inspire them to join you on the journey!

Offer the VIP/Discount Coach option to ALL!

I also suggest offering to sign up ALL customers as Discount Coaches in the beginning! This will help you rank advance to Emerald quickly and get them 25% off all future orders! You'll be surprised at who will jump on this so don't lose this opportunity!
 

Here is a sample script for getting people signed up as a Discount Coach:

"You can always join as a VIP customer or a coach. [YOU WOULD BE AMAZING. I've actually been thinking about it a lot. You clearly already have a passion for fitness and knowing you - you are a compassionate person who people love. These are all the elements of an incredibly successful and impactful coach.] Plus now is a GREAT time to build your own business, be your own boss, and start to make some serious money helping people find community and wellness in this crazy world. So when you get a challenge pack the $40 coach initiation fee is waived. You then save 25% on all future orders (Shakeology, Energize, 3 Day Refresh, collagen, beach bars, equipment, programs, etc). And you get early access to new programs. You can coach like me - help people live their best lives. Or you could just use the discount. I have a lot of clients who sign up for this so they can save $$$!  I want to make sure everyone knows this is always an option. It's a $15/month membership fee.You can cancel at anytime. Creating Ordering Links for Potential Customers

Once you have a conversation with a potential customer of what their needs are and you are ready to send them a link to order you have a few places to find those links SPECIFICALLY for your Coach Account! Beachbody helps so much with this - they have pre-generated links to every single product that you can offer others and they do all the shipping, packaging, accepting returns, sending refunds, etc. HUGE perk to this business. 

 

First, your COACH ID will be like the social security number of your business! I
Find it in your business office or welcome email from Beachbody and MEMORIZE it! You will use this for EVERYTHING!

Overcoming Objections

Let’s talk objections. We all get them...we always will....BUT it is how you handle them that will determine the success of your business! Keep in mind that objections are typically NOT personal. The fear of rejection and what people think can be the MOST debilitating thing when it comes to growing our businesses.

The KEY is to face them head on and learn to overcome them. NO does NOT always mean NO ... it often just means they aren't ready now. But, you have planted a seed that will come back around. I ghosted my coach about 10 times before I even joined as a client. I had ALL the excuses! But I kept watching her and when I was ready .... she was there! There is no such thing as a wasted post or invite! You never know who it might reach or what impact it may have on your business down the line.

5 TIPS for Success:

1. BE CONFIDENT:  This is key!  Show confidence in what you have to offer (for a challenger or a new coach). People are attracted to confidence and it helps them feel more comfortable making the decision!


2. ASK QUESTIONS:  When an objection arises, continue to ask questions to dive into the REAL reason why they might be hesitating.  


3. FOCUS on their GOALS & RESULTS: Don't allow yourself to focus on their objection...continue to bring it back to "I want to to make sure you reach your goals of _______." "I am here to help you feel better." And help them find the solution that is best for them.


4. BE COMPASSIONATE + UNDERSTANDING: Your goal is always to make them feel better no matter what.


5. STAY CONSISTENT: Keep focusing on your #1 = YOU! Keep living a healthy life, posting about your ongoing journey, and reminding people daily that this is working for you. Often, people will come back around when they are ready.

Having your OWN BODGroup

Starting your own BOD Group is the magic of being a Beachbody coach! This is where you get to create your own community, provide your clients with support, love, information, and resources, keep them accountable, and have fun! This is where the value lives! 
 

You want to make sure you set up your own BOD Group so you have a place to put your clients. Video below will tell you how to do this! If you want to be part of my group to get a feel for it, please join! My group is called SYMF Support Community This is where my clients track their workouts, nutrition, water, Shakeology, and check in every day with sweaty selfies. I post resources in there like meal plans, recipes, fav personal development info, etc. I make sure I like and comment on EVERY POST.

  • Mompreneur is also an AMAZING resource for Challenge Group posts - their design team of 15 people (BB coaches) have put together daily check in posts, engagement posts, meal plans, recipes, plus IG story graphics, etc.  you can use to run a group, promote, and more. It's genius!

     

NOTE: To earn Success Club + Success Starter you MUST have an active BOD group (group on the exclusive BOD app). Many use Facebook as their Group platform (and yes i do this too). But I suggest getting comfortable with BOD groups and creating your own NOW!
